Grand Opening of the South Terrace Veranda - March 2026
Over 90 members and guests attended our OPENING EVENT on Thursday 19th March to celebrate the official opening of our new South Terrace Veranda and the
beginning of the 2026 season. In addition to the usual “Coffee Morning” crowd, our guests included Ward Councillor Matthew Robinson, Parish Councillors and representatives from other bowling clubs. Both the funding from the Parish Council and the major funding we received from the National Lottery have helped us to complete the project and all the Councillors were impressed with the facilities upgrade that has taken place during the 2025/26 winter.
Local sporting legend, Eddie Gray, was invited to cut the ribbon on the new Veranda and he also commented on the club’s surrounds, saying “This new veranda will be a great place to sit and watch bowls in the summer. The whole ground looks brilliant!”
